The fourth annual Cimarron NRS Team Roping Classic (NRSTRC) held April 11-13, 2014 paid out $515,000 in cash and prizes, including two Chevy Dually pick-up trucks from James Wood Motors, two three-horse Cimarron bumper-pull trailers, two saddles and much more. The NRSTRC gives the lower numbered team roper a chance to win big prizes like the professionals. This year’s 5th Annual NRSTRC is going to be even bigger and better!

2015 Prizes:

The average winners on Sunday, April 12th, 2015 will take home James Wood Chevrolet Pick-Up Trucks and matching Cimarron 3-Horse Bumper-Pull Trailers, Mortenson Trophy Buckles, plus CASH! Other prizes include NRS Pro Series Trophy Saddles and Trophy Buckles, NRSTRC Jackets, and lots of $$$$! All participants will receive a $100 NRS Gift Card!

 Stuff to Know:

  • $1000 entry fee per team, to be paid in full up front. $200 of this fee is non-refundable.
  • Payments can be split among team member credit cards on the payment page.
  • TRIAD numbers only.
  • 650 team limit.
  • Capped at a #6 Elite.
  • World Series Barrier.
  • Must be 18 years of age by day of roping to enter.
  • 3-Entry Limit Per Person (you can be on 3 Teams)
  • Books will officially open March 18th, 2015 at 8:00 am.
  • NRSTRC Alumni will be able to enter early on March 13th, 2015 at 8:00 am. Check your mailbox for details.
  • USTRC dress code in effect. PRCA Crossfire rule in effect.
  • Current Coggins required for all horses to be admitted on property.
  • NRS reserves the right to all final decisions.
  • All entries must be paid at the time of registration, or you will NOT be entered.
  • The 2014 NRSTRC filled within 4 hours of books opening, so do not delay on March 18th, 2015!

 Why must the entry fee be paid in advance?

This year, we are enforcing a $1000 team fee required at the time of entry in order to hold your spot in the 650 team limit. The reason we have to do this is in previous years, books fill up the first day but not all teams actually show up for the roping– this left us open spots that could have gone to other deserving teams. We want everyone to have a chance this year, so the deposit ensures that teams entering plan on participating. We also will have a WAIT LIST this year for teams that miss the 650 limit, but want to be considered if spots become available due to cancellation.

First full round only. Starts at 10 am.

5 second barrier. 5 second leg penalty.

Second full round starts at 10 am.

Church at 8 am. Finals start at 10 am. Top 75 teams on two head from Friday and Saturday combined will make up the Finals. Finalists start clean and will rope in the order that they qualified. 3-header. Non-progressive.
